Call 1-888-414-TRIP to find your local travel services office or book by phone by calling 1-800-611-1100. Call 1-800-668-2630 to redeem your Membership Rewards points. Your travel agent will receive your Travel Certificate(s).

Travel Certificates are accepted as payment for a wide range of travel options through any American Express Travel Services retail office¹ in Canada. Call 1-888-414-TRIP (8747) for the travel office nearest you, or book by phone² at 1-800-611-1100.

Travel Certificates can be used to pay for new travel purchases, including taxes and surcharges, and are valid for six (6) months from date of issuance.

For airline ticket purchases, no service fees³ apply for individual ticket purchases where Travel Certificates cover a portion, or the full cost, of the ticket. On multiple airline ticket purchases, Travel Certificates must be fully utilized towards the cost of the first airline ticket prior to applying any balance to the remaining tickets.

No service fees³ apply when Travel Certificates are used to pay for other travel purchases.

Travel Certificates can not be used for purchases of American Express Travel Gift Certificates, American Express Gift Cheques, Travellers Cheques, or foreign currency.

Travel Certificates are not refundable.

Travel Certificates have no cash value and must be presented before final payment is due.

Certificates may not be accepted in part. Any unused balance of a certificate is forfeited.

Travel selections are based on available space and are subject to terms and conditions of travel suppliers. For car rental companies and hotels that do not accept prepaid bookings, Travel Certificates cannot be used for payment.
