You can check your card account online, by registering for Online Services. Registration is easy and free. Register for Online Services

What are Online Services? Is there any charge for Online Services?
Online Services is a facility that helps you answer virtually all queries related to managing your Card account. It has been designed for your convenience. All you have to do is Register for Online services and select your query, complete the specially designed form and submit it to us. It's so easy to use.

Some of the services include:
  • Changing your contact details.
  • Requesting a paper statement.
  • Requesting a Card replacement.
  • Disputing a service charge, interest charge or late payment fee levied by American Express.
  • Disputing a merchant transaction.
  • There is no charge for Online services, however there's a service charge for any requests or queries sent by phone, fax or mail.

If you are having problems accessing the Online statements, we request you to try after some time. If you still cannot access the web site, please give us a call at our 24 hour Cardmember Helplines. There is no service charge for this.

Can I get a paper statement?
YYour online paperless statements are available to you on the site for a period of 3 months. You can print a copy for your records. However, should you require us to send you a paper statement, you can call our 24 hour Cardmember Helplines. This service is charged at Rs. 100 per statement when you call and request for the same.

What if my statement shows an expense that I did not incur? How do I report, resolve and follow up on disputes in Card transactions?
To dispute a wrong charge or report a merchant transaction or any complaint/query which you need to submit, you can just go to the manage your account section and submit your dispute Online.

Is this an E-Card that can only be used for making purchases over the Internet?
The American Express E Credit Card is a standard Credit Card that is accepted at all merchant establishments, which display the "American Express Cards Welcome" sign. It may also be used for any transactions you make on the Internet.

What is Balance Transfer? How do I do a Balance Transfer?
A Balance Transfer is simply a transfer of a balance from one credit card to another. For example, you can transfer a balance you owe on a competition credit card to your American Express® E Credit Card account. When you request a balance transfer, we pay off the amount of the balance you have indicated you wish to pay on your other card. This balance will then appear on your American Express E Credit Card online statement.

How long does it take to obtain an American Express E Credit Card?
Most new Card applications take up to 4 weeks to process. Supplementary Card applications take fifteen days to process.

Do you offer additional Cards on accounts?
Supplementary Cards are available, however the principal Cardmember is liable for transactions incurred on all Supplementary Cards issued on their account.

How do I know my credit limit?
You will be informed of your credit limit when you are issued your E Credit Card. Also, your online statements will reflect your total credit limit, how much you have utilized and the available credit limit.

How do I make payments towards my E Credit Card Account?
American Express E Credit Card has an Automatic Payment Facility,which does away with the hassle of writing cheques every month. A part of your outstanding balance will be automatically collected from your bank each month. Pay the Minimum Amount Due, or any proportion of your monthly bill through this facility. You can change your payment instructions online. Click here to change your instructions.

Should you wish to pay more than specified in your Automatic Payment instructions in any month, you can pay by any of these convenient methods:
  • By post - Please send us a crossed cheque/draft payable to "AEB Ltd Card No. 3769 xxxxxx xxxxx" (to American Express Bank Ltd, Post bag 342, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
  • Drop Boxes: We have established several drop boxes in convenient locations where you can drop your cheque or draft.. Please do not drop cash payments in the drop box. Find the nearest Drop box location.

Yes. That's the advantage of having the E Credit Card from American Express. You can access your statement online and service your account from anywhere anytime in the world you are traveling. All you need is a computer with Internet connection.

What if I pay my bill and American Express does not register the payment? Will I have a receipt that I can print?
Do not worry. Payments received will be reflected in your subsequent Card Statement online. You can always take a print out of your online statements which are available to you on the site for a period of 3 months. In case payment is not reflected in your Statement, go to Online Customer Servicing and submit the relevant form and we will respond to you.

What if I have a request or query that cannot be resolved on the Web site? Will there be a service charge?
If you have a request or a query, which cannot be resolved online, or you are not able to access a service online, there is no service charge. Just call our 24 hour Cardmember Helpline However, for any other service, which is available online, a service charge will apply for a call to our Helpline.

The American Express E Credit Card has been specially designed and priced to be exclusively serviced Online.

What fees and service charges apply for Paper Statements or phone /paper based Customer Services?
For request by phone or mail - Rs. 75 per call, fax or letter For request for paper account statements - Rs. 100 per statement However, we recommend that you use the Online Customer Services facility on this site for Online Services. There is no fee charged for this.

Are there any other charges applicable to the E Credit Card?
The following charges are applicable:
  • For request for copy of charge slip - Rs 100.
  • Handling fee for returned cheques - Rs 150.
  • Overlimit fee - Rs 200
  • Over limit charge is 2.5% of the amount by which you exceed your credit limit subject to a minimum charge of Rs. 250.
  • 1.5% of the total outstanding balance as per your last billed Card statement, subject to a minimum of Rs.175 and a maximum of Rs.350.
  • For purchases of railway tickets or fuel, a transaction fee of 2.5% is levied.

    As per Govt. of India notification, a Service Tax at the rate of 10.2% is applicable on all fees, service charges and interest charges. The tax is not applicable on the basic amount of purchases, cash withdrawals or balance transfers.
